Silvine Photography studio is a Grand Rapids portrait studio focused on contemporary women’s portraiture. Our current studio space is a blend of old and new, a furniture factory from Grand Rapids’s days as “Furniture City” with a modern take. The smell of deliciously roasting coffee floats down from the top floor roaster and the original arch windows let in glorious, warm light all throughout the day.
Our studio space is an empowering place for women. Often I get asked “how do you go about building a creative studio space?” Converting the space into a comfortable portrait studio was a labor of love, but the results exceeded our expectations.
Bold graphics in stark colors offset the Romantic furniture style and are a perfect counterpoint to the simple and modern black and white walls.
“Women today need to be free to be themselves and to accept themselves.”
Our studio is a blank space waiting for each woman’s story to be written on the walls. We want to create a space that invites but doesn’t impose. It should elevate and enhance your own personality and allow you to express yourself freely.
